The holidays are coming. Thank God!! I can't believe how busy i've been.

Can't wait.
Are there any good fanfiction about Ben Skywalker any way? I'm interested. And literairy history sucksors.

Aah. It's good to be home again, though i'll be leaving again soon. Vacation didn't make me browner but it sure made me appreciate my own bed. Haven't slept so good in ages.
I'm preparing for my coming colleges and everything that goes with it. So to relax I'm going to read, and read, and reeeeaaaadd.
I forgot to bring any books for the vacation and so I must now catch up.
Toodles.

So, today I watched the movie Sky High, which was surprisingly better then what the cover would have you believe, in fact, it was fantastic!
I really liked it. Finally, not some movie about a superhero saving the world from a giant octopus. No, this movie is about the kids of superheroes, and what I especially liked about it was that the school was defided between superheroes (those with strong powers) and hero supporters (AKA sidekicks, or the ones with lame powers). In a world filled with superheroes there's a lot of prejudice against those sidekicks. They're expendable, get a different education than the supers and don't even get to pick their own names and costumes. No, they are their to hand their superhero a crossbow when he needs one, and that's it.
I find it to be an interesting and realistic standpoint. 'Cause you can put the Super into Man, but you can't take the Man out of the Super, and mankind happens to be very prejudiced. The plotline was simple, son of the two greatest superheroes has no powers and gets placed with the sidekicks, but when his friends are threatened he developes some superstrength. But Will, the protagonist, isn't as annoying as he sounds, for instance he doesn't just wave goodbye to his friends, admittedly he makes mistakes, but he realises that and sets them right. And that's what I would expect from the son of two superheroes, great moral standards.
The school itself and the busride to it was a great find, ofcourse the school would need to be protected against supervillans, and so they would need the best state-of-the-art technology. And a flying school is hard to find.
It was a short movie and didn't cover a lot of time, just the first few months of the schoolyear, but it didn't need more then that to get me as a fan. This kind of story lends itself particulary well to fanfiction so the story isn't over.
And I think i'll make some icons too. It's a great movie, funny without being overbaring and with superpowers in every variation.

I can't believe it.. the Roswell High book series that I kind-off, sorta, wanted to buy.. it's not available. It's not available ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY!!!
What the hell is up with that!? This is so frustrating. And it was on the stores website too. If You Can't Deliver It Then Get It Off Your Site. People, please.
So, now I really want the series, but it's apparantly really hard to find, can't even find it on bol.com, in ANY language. And I don't want to buy it from Amazon.com.
Fortunately my dad travels a lot, so perhaps he can find it somewhere. But I'll still have to wait a damn long time before I can read it. *is sad*

So I went to see Dead Mans Chest last night, and even though I had my reservations it turned out to be a pretty good movie. No, a Damn good movie. You can really see that they thought about what the characters would do in certain situations. There where some hilarious and silly pieces that only worked because, this is Jack Sparrow, and he Does stupid silly things, but manages to survive out of it. The same with all the other characters. The actors have really grown in their roles.
But it's not just about the funny, there are some pretty heavy moments in the movie as well.
Yeah, it was a damn good movie.

It's been a good day and it's only getting better... I think that's a song.. oh well.
Today I have purchased some manga, Eyeshield 21 and Excel Saga. I'm curious about Excel Saga, it's supposed to be really funny. I wanted to buy the Roswell High series but they didn't have them in store, guess I'll just have to wait *le sigh*.
There was a Jazz festival in the main square, apparently it's jazz week! I didn't know that. Was great to shop to relaxing and ellevating music, no singing just music. Tonight I'll be going to Pirates of the Carribean and I'm really excited about it.
And I now am the proud owner of a WACOM TABLET!!! It's a small one but it suits my needs. It's really going to come in handy when I'm going to practice Japanese. I also have a paint program so I'm going to draw some things.
And I've been listening to the same song since yesterday, And, I still like it. I'm going back to practicing with my WACOM PEN!!!

Recently I have purchased Superman: Secret Identity and Impulse: Reckless Youth. I have not been dissapointed.
The Superman paperback is DEFINE, seriously, this is how Superman should be. Growing up, having a stable relationship, beeing hunted by the government, having children, growing old, and when he gets close to the yellow sun the only thing he gets is an impressive tan.
It was just beautiful and bitter-sweet. I really enjoyed it and am glad they didn't make this an entire series, but merely a story. It has a beginning and an ending and it is just perfect. Lois Chaudhari Kicks Serious Ass, to stick with a guy who's, apparantly, Superman and gets hunted by the government putting anyone who is close to him in danger as well, that takes a strong woman. I was so afraid they'd have her die or leave him for another or something, but no.. it was perfect.
I want more trade paperbacks of Impulse. I can't get my head around the fact that they even cancelled the series. This stuff is comedy GOLD.
It is just all kinds of wonderfull asskicking awesome, and I now understand why so many people screamed outrage when Impulse became Kid Flash.
Now he'll never be able to come back to this. *is sad* I really hope they don't screw him up in the Flash series. And that he marries Carol SOMEWHERE along the line.

I am in need of some new books. Need to read something new. Saturday I'll go shopping for them.
I have also recently discovered that there is a Roswell High series. Never knew that, but I was interested enough to read some pages on Amazon and from what I've read these books are hilarious and yet still hold that fragile teen angst. I'm gonna buy me some.
Nananananana Batmaaan!!
Have to make a booklist. Hmmm.
Maybe a new Wheel of Time book, the latest, I love Mat.

Well, it all seems to be working great, so... Yeeeh!! What a wonderfull morning it is indeed. I'm going to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 sometime this week so i'm exited. It's gotten some great reviews, but it is a sequel so..
I'll post what I think of it here.
In other news, there should be more Roswell fanfic with Max and Michael actually acting as King and War Commander. You could really do something with that. I'm reading a story about it in RoswellFanatics.net, but sadly the author has some troubles with 'we'll' and such things. She or he keeps writing it fully, 'we will' which I have some trouble reading because nobody talks that way unless they want to be formal.
But it's still an interesting read.

Ok. So I've changed the layout, it's not mine by the way. Reminds me of food, which is always a good thing. Added some community's to the friends page. Hopefully I'll put some more friends in there soon!
